The famous brewery Alte Brauerei Stralsund was build in 1880 - a time when economy and cultural life were flourishing in the hanseatic city. Over 120 years later its old walls still offer a sense of protection and shelter for our guests as back in early days. For three years the old brewery has fondly been renovated and restored. A new design sets modern contrasts. The outcome was a convention center which meets highest demands. The Alte Brauerei offers six presentation rooms of different size equipped with modern technology for all kind of events. The Sudhaus, the Press Room, the Foyer, the Wintergarden and the Deck leave enough room for up to 1 000 participants for your convention.
Wish for something special! The Sudhaus, with its charming mix of old substance and new design as well as its large windows offer a perfect setting and atmosphere for your convention with up to 200 people.
Plan on something great! You can use the Foyer and the Kühlschiff. The Kühlschiff offers enough room for diets, conventions and festivals on a large scale. The foyer is the resting point, a place to linger and relax. You will enjoy a view over downtown Stralsund and our new plasma displays keep the participants up to date all the time.
Look at the things from a different perspective! Hold your meetings in our Windergarden underneath the roof of the old brewery where Germany’s largest island Ruegen is laying at your feet.

Here and there visitors will run across these nordic distinctions on their layover in the old brewery Alte Brauerei. Its history as well as the business location of the new brewery belong to the cityscapes of the hanseatic city Stralsund.
In our brewery restaurant “Zum Alten Fritz” our guests can choose between many regional specialities and taste the freshness of food coming from homelands and home waters of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
