Our house is located in central position right in the heart of the Hanseatic-Town. Apart from the conference rooms, which are provided with the most modern comforts, we offer gastronomies and premises, which make us unique in Rostock.
Starting with our “Restaurant & Bar SILO 4” in breezy height at the harbour onward to our “Alte Apotheke” in the cellar. We can offer something for everyone. Our entire staff will always make sure that every guest leaves our “Sonne” with a smile and always likes to return.

The Steigenberger Hotel Sonne looks back on a 200-years-old hotel- and gastronomy tradition. Already in former times as a meeting point for seamen it today convinces with 121 hanseatic classy furnished rooms and suites. Apart from classical blue emphasises, maritime wooden furniture can be found in the entire hotel. Our “Apollo” hall bribes with dignified parquet. 90% of our staff members are from Rostock and proud of their home country Mecklenburg Vorpommern. They convey the hanseatic charme of Mecklenburg Vorpommern, accompanied with their straight and happy personality.
